Due to the standard taper of the charge air system between turbocharger and intercooler, HF-Series has developed a new turbooutlet kit including pressure pipe.
The newly designed charge air system has a larger cross-section of 60mm and the turbooutlet, which is located in the turbocharger, is optimised for best flow conditions and has the same diameter as the pressure pipe.
The turbo outlet has a resonance chamber as standard and the pressure pipe is tapered to 36 mm.
The air flow rate in the series is approx. 0.0171 m³/s* and in the HF-Series version approx. 0.0340 m³/s*.
OEM HF-Series
Turbooutlet: -with resonance chamber -without resonance chamber and with 60 mm
and 50 mm connection connection
Pressure pipe: -turbulence and -60mm continuous without tapers
tapers to 36mm
Volume flow: -approx. 0,0171 m³/s* -approx. 0,0340 m³/s*
(*value determined at a reference value of 12m/s inlet velocity)
The larger pipe diameter of 63mm (60mm inner diameter > OEM only 53.7mm), combined with the streamlined design and the elimination of the stiffening struts*, provides an increased airflow of 287.9cfm (measured by flow bench).
*these are used on the OEM pipe to prevent breakage due to over-tightening of the clamps
The OEM part consists of a bonded plastic pipe. Under the influence of time, temperature and pressure, the material becomes brittle and cracked. The result is broken connections or burst pressure lines. Not only annoying because of the defect, but rather a great danger for the turbocharger and the engine.
Our product is pressure and temperature resistant, flow optimised for an earlier response behaviour and thus also optimally suited for performance-enhanced vehicles. In addition, it comes with a certificate and is therefore registration-free.
The pressure pipe is suitable in combination with the original intercooler hoses, as well as with our SF-Hoses silicone hoses.
